Blue Zones Challenge: Blue Zones believes in empowering kids to Explore,
Question and Act. Our educational program includes ready-to-use lesson plans
and a Curriculum Guide correlated to National Standards. The Blue Zones
Challenge teams students, parents, and educators in an effort to alter the four
key behaviors that impact childhood obesity. This personalized program
empowers students, with the support of their parents and teachers, to take
charge of their own health by tracking servings of fruits and vegetables;
periods of physical activity; servings of sweetened beverages; and periods of
watching television.

NUTRITION DETECTIVES® "Teaching Kids to Make Healthy Choices"
Nutrition Detectives is an exciting nutrition education program for elementary
school children that is "Teaching Kids to Make Healthy Choices." They learn
how to read food labels, detect marketing deceptions while simultaneously
learning to identify and subsequently choose healthy foods. The program has
been taught in schools throughout the country and data are currently being
collected in Independence Missouri. The program is novel, creative, engaging,
and efficient, imparting crucial information in minimal time.
